2027: APC Names Adeleke Osun Coordinator of Tinubu’s Campaign Council, Replacing Oyetola
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has updated its Presidential Campaign Council, replacing former Osun State Governor and Marine and Blue Economy Minister Gboyega Oyetola with incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke as the Osun State coordinator ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adeleke, who belongs to the Accord Party, has already endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC for a second term, a political development that has drawn attention to the growing cross-party support for the President’s re-election bid.
The inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with proceedings expected to begin at 10:00 a.m.
The reported appointment places Adeleke at the centre of the APC’s campaign coordination in Osun State despite his membership of a different political party.
His endorsement of Tinubu’s second-term ambition further highlights the political alignment between the Osun governor and the President ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The replacement of Oyetola with Adeleke marks a reported change in the APC’s Osun campaign leadership as preparations intensify for the forthcoming polls.
The inauguration is expected to formally activate the campaign council’s structure and coordinate activities in support of Tinubu’s re-election bid.
