FISU Election: Adeyemi Victor Miracle Declares Bid for Vice President I

Adeyemi Victor Miracle, popularly known as LoverBoi, has declared his intention to contest for the position of Vice President I of the Federation of Ijesa Students’ Union (FISU), National Headquarters, promising to promote unity, cultural preservation and educational development among Ijesa students.

Miracle, a Computer Science student at the University of Ilesa, Osun State, and an indigene of Atakunmosa West Local Government Area, announced his aspiration in a declaration titled “A Declaration of Purpose, Service and Unity.”

The aspiring candidate said his decision to seek the position was driven by his desire to strengthen the union, foster cooperation among Ijesa students across tertiary institutions and contribute to the development of Ijesaland.

He is campaigning under the banner #ONEFISU, with the slogan “One People, One Purpose, One Future.”

According to him, the initiative represents a vision of a united student community working collectively towards shared goals and a better future.

“My desire is to help our union grow, bring Ijesa students together, and support the progress of our people,” he stated, adding that effective leadership requires listening, collaboration and a commitment to service rather than merely occupying an office.

Outlining his proposed agenda, Miracle identified unity among Ijesa students as one of his priorities, pledging to encourage peace, mutual respect and cooperation among students in different institutions.

He also expressed his intention to strengthen relations between the student community and traditional rulers across Ijesaland, noting that engagement with royal fathers could provide opportunities for mentorship, guidance and the preservation of communal values.

On cultural development, the aspirant said he would promote awareness of Ijesa history, traditions and heritage, stressing the importance of preserving the community’s identity for future generations.

Miracle further pledged to support educational advancement and skills development through initiatives focused on digital literacy, computer skills, entrepreneurship and other relevant training opportunities to prepare students for emerging opportunities.

He acknowledged that achieving these objectives would require strategic planning, teamwork and the support of union leaders, stakeholders and other relevant partners.

Emphasising his leadership philosophy, the aspiring vice president said he was committed to honesty, humility, patience and continuous learning, while acknowledging the contributions of previous FISU administrations.

He also called on traditional rulers, union leaders, stakeholders, fellow students and members of the public to support his aspiration with guidance, prayers and constructive advice.

Miracle expressed optimism that collective commitment to unity, education, respect and service would help strengthen the union and advance the interests of Ijesa students.

He concluded his declaration with the campaign message: “Leading with Passion, Serving with Love,” reaffirming his commitment to the #ONEFISU vision of building a more united and progressive student community.
