Tinubu to Flag Off 2027 Re-election Campaign in Kaduna on October 24
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to commence his re-election campaign on October 24 with a rally in Kaduna State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, disclosed this on Friday after meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Yari, who spoke with State House correspondents after the meeting, said Tinubu had approved the proposed campaign timetable.
According to him, the campaign will begin in Kaduna before moving to Rivers State and Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, as part of the party’s planned activities.
He also announced that Tinubu would formally inaugurate the APC Presidential Campaign Council on October 14 at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The council was constituted several months ago to coordinate the ruling party’s presidential campaign ahead of the next general election.
The planned activities signal the APC’s preparations for the 2027 polls, as Tinubu seeks another term in office amid ongoing national debates over his administration’s economic reforms, security policies and governance record.
